We are now officially an ACTIVE SCHOOL!
On the 2nd of October, 2017, we received our Active Schools accreditation visit and we were successful in achieving the flag! We are one of the first schools in Clondalkin to be awarded this flag!

Our Active Flag Raising Day
We had our official Active Flag Raising Day on February 8th 2018. We participated in various sport stations activities in the morning.We were then joined by Irish Women's Rugby Player, Hannah Tyrrell, to raise our hard earned Active Flag. After our official flag raising, we did 10@10 on the yard and then we got the best surprise of all - ICE-CREAM! We played "Beat the Teachers" in the afternoon - it was A GREAT DAY!

Our Active Schools Song
We have our very own Active Schools song to encourage us to Run Around the World. See the lyrics below;
"We say let's step it up!
We are fit and free,
We have the Active Flag,
Come on and run with me!
We're trying to get to Beijing,
Say oo-oo, come on and run with me!"
See us perform the Active Song over the intercom below!

We also sing a different version of the Active School song when we are doing our DEAD (Drop Everything and Dance) time;
"We say let's step it up!
We are fit and free,
We have the Active Flag,
Come on and dance with me!
We're trying to be healthy,
Say oo-oo, come on and dance with me!"
Can you sing along too?
